Exposed Aggregate Driveway

A full driveway rebuild engineered for drainage and finished for street presence.

The brief

A cracked driveway on a sloped block, draining the wrong way. We rebuilt it from the subgrade up — re-graded so water leaves the structure, reinforced for real vehicle load, and finished in washed aggregate chosen to sit with the home's stone. The kind of surface that reads as effortless because everything under it was deliberate.

How it was built

RAW, PLAN, BUILD, FINISH.

Raw

An existing cracked driveway on a sloped block, with poor drainage falling back toward the house.

Plan

Re-graded falls directed away from the structure, reinforcement mesh specified for vehicle load, and an exposed-aggregate finish selected to match the property's stone palette.

Build

Excavation, formwork, steel fixing, pour and mechanical screed completed across a staged two-day pour to manage cure time and site access.

Finish

An exposed, washed and sealed aggregate surface — flat, correctly falling, and built to outlast the vehicles that will sit on it.
